New injection molding technology increases energy efficiency and production capacity.

F. Morat is expanding its machinery at its Eisenbach production site with the addition of three new fully electric ARBURG ALLROUNDER TREND injection molding machines. By gradually replacing older hydraulic equipment, the company continues to expand its expertise in precision plastic injection molding. At the same time, the new machines increase production capacity and provide the foundation for a higher level of automation in manufacturing.

The delivery includes the ARBURG ALLROUNDER TREND 500e, 1300e and 1800e models, each equipped with a Multilift Select system (4 kg, 8 kg and 16 kg, respectively). The 500e and 1800e machines were delivered on July 20, 2026. Existing equipment will remain in operation until customer sampling and approval have been completed, ensuring a smooth transition to series production.

The new machines feature fully electric drive technology, reducing energy consumption by up to 40 percent compared to conventional hydraulic machines. They also eliminate the need for hydraulic oil, reducing resource consumption, maintenance requirements and operating costs. The GESTICA lite control system, together with the integrated Multilift systems, enables precise process control and provides the basis for automated manufacturing processes.

For Erich Gutmann, Head of Injection Molding, the investment represents an important step in the continued development of the company's injection molding operations: "With the new fully electric ARBURG machines, we are making a targeted investment in the future of our injection molding production. They combine high process stability and component quality with significantly lower resource consumption – providing an important foundation for efficient and sustainable manufacturing."

Sustainability in Series Production

F. Morat also relies on a closed-loop material recycling system. Plastic sprues are reground and fed directly back into the production process, reducing production waste and minimizing the use of virgin material. Combined with fully electric machine technology, this supports resource-efficient manufacturing and lower CO₂ emissions.

The new machines will take over existing series-production projects, including plastic gear components for thrust washers and gear segments for locking systems.
