The latest technological standards: News from the Franz Morat Group

Exciting start to the new training year at the Franz Morat Group

Welcome on Board: 14 Young Talents Take Their First Steps Toward a Professional Future at Franz Morat Group

Fourteen new trainees are starting their careers at Franz Morat Group, including five industrial mechanics, two industrial clerks, one mechatronics technician, and one trainee specializing in warehouse logistics. Additionally, five students will begin their studies in mechatronics, industrial business administration, or mechanical engineering on October 1, 2024.

The Franz Morat Group’s training team is particularly pleased with the strong intake in technical training and degree programs. “To further expand our position as a technology leader in gear and drive technology, we have been investing for years in dedicated and skilled young talent from within our ranks,” says Holger Schwaab, who has been overseeing technical training at Franz Morat Group for 20 years. “With our investment in training and the new training center, we are creating the best conditions for this,” he emphasizes. The goal is to familiarize tomorrow's skilled workers early on with modern automated manufacturing processes and innovative technologies in metalworking and plastic injection molding.

As part of the onboarding process, the Franz Morat Group's management team took the time for an exclusive Q&A session, offering the young talents valuable insights into the company’s vision and strategy as an internationally oriented corporate group. To showcase the career opportunities within the company, Alexander Haas and Martina Hannig shared their own journeys within Franz Morat Group. Both now hold key leadership positions as members of the management team. Alexander Haas, who began his career with technical training at Franz Morat Group, emphasized, “After completing training, everything is possible.”

A high priority is placed on ensuring that the new trainees and students get to know the company from the ground up. The so-called “Onboarding Days” focused on mutual introductions and team-building. “The training team put together a very diverse and exciting program with numerous team-building activities,” report the new trainees and students. Among other activities, a group of current students organized a company rally for the newcomers, offering initial insights into the variety of products and manufacturing technologies. At the end of the first week, all 50 trainees and students of the corporate group came together for a team-building event in Schwärzenbach.

“A highlight of our introduction days was when everyone symbolically released colorful balloons into the sky, each carrying their hopes for the upcoming training period,” says trainer Katharina Wiehl. “In a dynamic time marked by increasingly unpredictable developments, it’s essential to define clear goals and values for the training period that serve as both orientation and a compass. We placed great importance on this in the first days and worked intensively to convey the values we live by at Franz Morat Group,” Wiehl adds.
