In March 2017, F. Morat México started with the series production of plastic injection molding components, which are mainly used in the automotive industry. In the meantime, the young company already employs more than 40 people at its production site in Lerma, located 65 km southwest of México City in the Mexican automotive belt of Toluca de Lerdo.
Milestones to date include successful certification to IATF 16949, the global quality standard for the automotive industry, in 2020 and the award of the “Preferred Supplier” status in the “Mobility Solutions” division by the global Bosch Group in 2019. The “Preferred Supplier” status is part of Bosch’s supplier management program – quality, delivery performance, adherence to delivery dates, and cooperation in a spirit of partnership are among the most important decision-making criteria.
To coincide with the 5th anniversary of production at F. Morat México, the production area was expanded by around 1,200 m² to a total of 2,900 m². The new production hall will be used for assembly projects for the North American market. The range includes partially assembled units, standardized modular gearbox components, and ready-to-use complete drives including a motor and control system. The capacity expansion in the immediate vicinity of customers on the North American continent will sustainably increase competitiveness and strengthen the partnership.
